Start A Storage Pantry

food storage pantryYou never know when a difficult time will arise in your life. Whether it be from a natural disaster or hard economic times it is always a good idea to have a food storage pantry for emergencies.

It would be a good idea to establish a specific area for your food storage. It could be in a basement, spare bedroom, closet, junk room, under the stairway, heated garage, out building or root cellar. Once you have found an acceptable space for your pantry you will want to set up shelves. You will want your space to be insulated so it doesn't freeze in the winter or overheat in the summer (for more information on insulation visit http://bigdogenergy.com).

As far as what your pantry should be stocked with it is a good idea to keep first aid supplies as well as non perishable foods, for example dried fruits, canned foods, etc.

Don't be caught unprepared! Start a storage pantry!
